The Studio ⁰²

Suburbanization

In 2020, after 10 years of inhabiting various co-working spaces, I finally decided (perfectly timed a month before the world fell into pieces) to relocate the studio to my hometown Drensteinfurt located 20 km south of Münster. Or to be exact: 172 m from my house, which adds almost one workday of time to my business instead of (other drivers) driving (me nuts). That's 954 l diesel per year. And one car less on the road.

Small but excellent

So now I reside at a less fancy address but enjoy the view of the historic town square, close to the most beautiful nature the Münsterland has to offer. And I finally have my own little place, light-flooded and full of books, open 24/7.

Comfortable and cozy

With the sole purpose of bringing my salaried friends to tears, I also brought in some action figures, guitars and a record player that's blasting everything from a-ha to Zeppelin most of the day. Still need a better coffee machine though.

About me ⁰³

Most notably I am an outdoor and science fiction lover, avid iphoneographer, guitarist, chocolate-labrador-owner, husband and dad. But I have also spent 25+ years in the industry as an intern, employee, employer, freelancer, business owner and entrepreneur wearing many different hats. So if there is something like a generalist that probably suitably describes my background.

Although I nowadays focus on design and development my clients benefit from my understanding of the various industry fields and perspectives.

I'm the wrong guy if you:

want ties / black turtlenecks, project managers and good looking young folks that pick up the phone
need anything tomorrow and cheap
prefer to be resistant to advice

I'm the right guy if you:

want a respectful and preferably long-term business relationship
need 25+ years industry experience and a network of experts for special ops
prefer dead simple, meaningful and economic solutions that just work (also known as unfuckwithable)
